We took an after-the-storm (Bill) walk on the beach in search of newly washedup shells and driftwood. It reminded me of my childhood when my brothers, sisters and I would spend summer days on long walks in search of anything interesting we could find, like dead catfish, stingrays, colorful man-of-war and more shells to leave under the beach house for deco. Ika has taken up a new artistic passion, photography, so here are the results of her artistic endeavors as she chronicled our journey. Impressive considering how complicated her camera is. I watched her furrough her brow while she picked F-stop numbers, focused, and chose angles. Now both my daughters-in-law share a passion for capturing the beauty around them on film. They certainly didn’t get it from me. I’ll stick with my iPhone ~ just point and shoot. Good enough for this blogger!
