It was a whirlwind weekend in ATX. In our family, it is no secret that Laura is a very talented photographer in her own right. Now many more on the Austin photo scene know what we knew all along. All three of her submissions to the School of Photography at Austin CC were chosen for presentation at the semester end awards ceremony. To celebrate, we went for tacos, as only Austin does them. Later there was a “shop till we drop” adventure to outfit everyone for Christmas and beyond. The grand finale was Mamou’s hands-down favorite, the old Iguana transformed into Lucy’s Fried Chicken. It still has the most magnificent view of a very full Lake Travis. In spite of the fact that Lucy’s opened for it’s first brunch this past Sunday, the chicken was memorable and the service attentive. I’ll be back:)
