So much fun in life is absolutely free.  Sunrises, sunsets, fishing in the surf, surfing in the waves, and parades.  Well I guess you do have to get to the beach for the best of these:)  However, parades are in every small town in the US, and free fun for the entire family.  All you have to do is take yourself to main street!  The best of the parades on The Island come out during Mardi Gras, the week before Fat Tuesday.  This year our nephew Joey (the one in the surfer dude wig) brought his kids to Sis Paige’s for a weekend of bead-catching mania. They were not disappointed, leaving with a neck full of beads and tummies full of fish, etc.  It was their first Mardi Gras of many, they assured us.
